Minister of state for tourism Kiran Choudhry said here today the decision to offer special discounts to women had been taken keeping in view this year's theme `Tourism opens door for women' on the World Tourism Day as decided by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation.

In order to increase public awareness about the beneficial role of tourism for women, the Haryana Tourism was ready to offer some of its tourist destinations as a forum for marketing products especially made by women crafts persons till March, 2008.

Managing director of the Haryana Tourism Corporation Satwanti Ahlawat said 10 per cent discount on food would be given to all visitors visiting any tourist complex tomorrow. For senior citizens this discount would be 15 per cent.
